I did it. I am officially a Mississippi State University Alumni and the owner of a 60,000 dollar piece of paper. Now what do I do? With the economy in this situation, and all of the teachers out there looking for jobs, things aren't looking so great for all of us newcomers. When I got into education four years ago, I was basically guaranteed a job. Now look what it's come to. I feel so leary of the unknown right now. I'm glad that I did it, don't get me wrong, it's just scary now not knowing where I'll be or what I'll be doing in three months. I know what my perfect situation would be, but dreams usually don't come true. I guess we'll see.
Graduation was picture perfect. My parents made it amazing, as always. They make me feel so good about myself, and I love having them around. Mom and Dad brought me flowers and cards, and Mrs. Vickie made us a cake that says "Congratulatiosn Crystal and Megan! Now you're teachers!" It was great. Then, we celebrated afterward with a little too much champagne and Mexican food.
